| Important
message for Texas judges
and court officials: |
 |
Many
individuals who are convicted of drug and alcohol-related
offenses are currently being ordered by Texas courts
to attend the Texas Health Department's drug and
alcohol education courses. Recently the Texas Legislature
adopted new laws that provide for a Drug and Alcohol
Driving Awareness Program (DADAP), such as the one
being offered at DADAP Online.com, to be used along
with or in lieu of the courses offered by the Health
Department. However, it is up to the discretion
of the court to authorize the completion of a DADAP
course. Please click
here to find out how the DADAP course can be
used by your court as an effective remedial measure
for drug and alcohol-related offenses. NOTE:
Individuals who consider enrolling DADAP online
for a drug or alcohol-related offense should contact
the court to verify its acceptance of DADAP prior
to enrollment. |

| DADAP
Course Overview |
|
DADAP
Online.com is the first and only Internet site where
Texas drivers can take the Drug
and Alcohol Driving Awareness Program online.
The 6-hour online DADAP course was developed by
Driver
Training Associates, Inc. (the original developers
of the DADAP
classroom course) to provide drivers with a
comprehensive overview of the damaging effects that
alcohol and drugs can have on a person's mind and
body, and how these effects lead to dangerous and
often deadly driving situations. DADAP online also
addresses several Texas laws that relate to the
use of alcohol and other drugs while driving. DTA's
Drug and Alcohol Driving Awareness Program is the
only DADAP that teaches how traffic risks can be
avoided through the proper understanding of a driver's
attitude states. |

DADAP is also required by certain courts when an
individual has been convicted of an alcohol and

attendance of a DADAP course for satisfaction of
several different types of offenses. For more information
regarding the applicability of DADAP for specific
violations, please click on the Texas court information
